In a pretty good goaltending dual, Roy Worters and the top-seeded ’27-’28 Pirates defeat Joe Miller and the 4th-seeded ’28-’29 Pirates. Unlike yesterday’s qualifier for the Cleveland Barons, this was a low-scoring affair. Worters and Miller were arguably the two biggest stars of the series. Both of them routinely put up at least 40 saves in a game. There were actually on five total PP’s in the first three games. However, there were 12 total PP’s in the fourth and fifth games of this series. Oh and both team’s were o-fer for the series with the man advantage. That’s possibly due to the lack of offensive talent.
