Honestly, goalie Frederik Andersen of the 4th-seeded  ’14-’15 Ducks was the star of the series, even though his team lost. In Game 1, he stopped 39 of 40 as he led the ’14-’15 Ducks to a 3-1 win while defenseman Hampus Lindholm was the only player with more than one point (2A). Then, in Game 2, goalie Jonas Hiller got the first of his two shutouts in the series as the 5th-seeded ’13-’14 Ducks won 2-0. Patrick Maroon and Ryan Getzlaf were the two goal-scorers while Hiller stopped all 39 shots against. In Game 3, Corey Perry scored a PP marker just two and a half minutes into the game to give the ’14-’15 Ducks an early 1-0 lead. The ’13-’14 Ducks finally tied it almost six and a half minutes into the third period courtesy of Dustin Penner, but less than two minutes later Perry scored to give them a 2-1 lead, which they held for a 2-1 series lead.

Hiller registered his second shutout in Game 4 when he stopped all 25 shots he saw. The ’13-’14 Ducks won 2-0 with both of their goals coming on the PP in the second period after a double-minor penalty for charging. With Game 5 tied, 2-2, a little more than halfway through the second, Jakob Silfverberg scored at the 12:45 mark to give the ’14-’15 Ducks a 3-2 lead. However, the ’13-’14 Ducks tied the game almost seven minutes into the third with Perry completing his hat trick. That forced an overtime where Perry, for the ’14-’15 Ducks, forced a Game 6 for the 4th seed. The ’13-’14 Ducks took control of Game 6 in the third with defenseman Bryan Allen (of all people) scoring his second of the game early in the period to take a 3-1 lead before Getzlaf made it 4-1 eight minutes later. The ’14-’15 Ducks got one goal back to cut the lead in half, but they would be eliminated with the 4-2 loss. In the series as a whole, Andersen posted a .942 save percentage and posted a single-game save percentage over .940% three times.
