The ’12-’13 Chicago Blackhawks were the 6th seed in the inaugural Ultimate NHL Playoff and had a nice run for themselves. They made it to the Quarterfinal, where they were eliminated by the eventual runners up, but they did eliminate the 27th-seeded ’79-’80 Minnesota North Stars and the ’96-’97 New Jersey Devils. In the Second Annual UNP, the ’14-’15 Chicago Blackhawks were the 5th seed and were upset in the Second Round by the 28th-seeded ’09-’10 San Jose Sharks.
Players to Watch:
- F – Stan Mikita – Chicago’s all-time leading scorer with 1,467 points in 1,394 games played. He’s also first in assists with 926 and second in goals with 541.
- LW – Bobby Hull – The only guy to score more goals in a Chicago uniform than Mikita with 604 goals. He’s second in points with 1,153 in 1,036 games.
- RW – Patrick Kane – Arguably the most electrifying talent in the league today. Of course, he has had a share of bad press lately.
